wild-con featured guest the philadelphia avengers

The  Philadelphia Avengers Initiative:  To express our love of cosplay  through charity work and promoting the importance of cospositivity and  anti-bullying.   Our mission is to become the superheroes the children  see when they look upon us by fundraising, showing compassion, kindness,  selflessness, practicing acceptance to all, and spreading the ability  of learning to tap into the power we all have within.  We are showing  others what more you can do with cosplay…not just with charity work but  with promoting Cospositivity (which is that anyone can cosplay no matter  the age, race, size, sexual orientation, and etc.)  As a charity-based  business, we attend charity and community events as superheroes,  princesses, and other requested characters; we play games and other  activities such as super hero training, take pictures, and promote  positivity and anti-bullying through discussions and having kids model  the behavior of their favorite superheroes. Most of the time, we also  happen to be the instigators of large group dancing!  The group is known  for their love of comics and movies and often uses this to find fun and  creative ways to incorporate cosplay into fundraisers for the charities  and community organizations we work with.  Some of the amazing charity  organizations we work with are Toys for Tots, Alex Lemonade Stand,  Ronald McDonald House, March for Babies, Breakthrough T1D and many more.    Nearly all of our members have experiences from bullying, family  loss, and sickness…When we assemble, we use these experiences to help  others that might be suffering and provide a shoulder for them to steady  themselves and a friend to walk with them on their path.
