Mark Holmes has been writing and drawing comics since grade school. If anyone finds his scrapbook filled with comic stories, lost in a move, he would really like it back.
Oddly enough it was not until he was in his 40’s when AC Comics published his first written story “Book em Synn” in their long running and popular title FemForce. He started a long run writing for FemForce with well over thirty back up stories written covering many genres. Superhero, western, horror and even a little romance mixed in.
While writing for FemForce he met Creator/ Publisher of AC Comics Bill Black. Black is also a film maker and soon he had Mark working both in front of and behind the camera as an actor/ camera guy. Mark was featured in Black’s “Amazing Collosal Woman”, “Shadow Slayer” and “The Mummy Creeps” along with other films.
Hooking up with a young film maker Joshua Kennedy, who Mark met on social media, he worked on such projects like “Dracula AD 2015”, “Slavegirls on the Moon” and “House of the Gorgon”. Once again on both sides of the camera.
Mark got the bug and soon created his own short films like “A Coffin for the Black Phantom”, “All in a Day’s Work” and the award winning “Cyber Ape vs the Hel-Bots” which can all be found on You Tube.

The Philadelphia Avengers Initiative: To express our love of cosplay through charity work and promoting the importance of cospositivity and anti-bullying. Our mission is to become the superheroes the children see when they look upon us by fundraising, showing compassion, kindness, selflessness, practicing acceptance to all, and spreading the ability of learning to tap into the power we all have within. We are showing others what more you can do with cosplay…not just with charity work but with promoting Cospositivity (which is that anyone can cosplay no matter the age, race, size, sexual orientation, and etc.) As a charity-based business, we attend charity and community events as superheroes, princesses, and other requested characters; we play games and other activities such as super hero training, take pictures, and promote positivity and anti-bullying through discussions and having kids model the behavior of their favorite superheroes. Most of the time, we also happen to be the instigators of large group dancing! The group is known for their love of comics and movies and often uses this to find fun and creative ways to incorporate cosplay into fundraisers for the charities and community organizations we work with. Some of the amazing charity organizations we work with are Toys for Tots, Alex Lemonade Stand, Ronald McDonald House, March for Babies, Breakthrough T1D and many more. Nearly all of our members have experiences from bullying, family loss, and sickness…When we assemble, we use these experiences to help others that might be suffering and provide a shoulder for them to steady themselves and a friend to walk with them on their path.
"Shannon Noelle is a cosplayer and artist from the Philadelphia area who has always had a passion to create since childhood. Starting her cosplay career in 2011, cosplay has been a way to portray some of her favorite characters and has helped build confidence both socially and in her crafting abilities. With an eye for every detail, each cosplay created has acted as a stepping stone towards learning and mastering new skills including but not limited to: sewing, LEDs, motors, foam armor, wig styling and much more. Shannon prides herself on being 100% self-taught through her journey with her very first cosplay being handmade. The things she looks forward to the most with each costume is the research that goes into planning the build and figuring out which technique or materials will be utilized to reach the end goal. "
